Walkthrough: How to Get All 15 Endings in Trigaea (SPOILERS!)
Hi all, and thanks for playing Trigaea! This is a walkthrough on how to achieve the fifteen different endings in Trigaea (excluding obvious “Bad Endings”).
I strongly recommend playing through and trying to obtain each ending organically, as you’ll enjoy the game more this way! Some things are impossible not to spoil if you provide a walkthrough, even in dot point form - this guide is intended for the truly lost.
Still here? Okay! Here’s how to get all the endings. I won’t cover how to win the fights in this guide, but this may be something I do in a future update if there’s demand for it.
And it’s needless to say, but I’m going to say it anyway: spoilers ahead!
The Endings You Can Get
While there are fifteen different endings, they are grouped together like this.
- Ending 1: Refusing to take any action
- Endings 2, 3 & 4: Siding with the x’irii
- Endings 5 & 6: Siding with the machines
- Endings 7 & 8: Siding with humanity
- Ending 9: Siding with humanity, then switching sides to the machines
- Endings 10, 11-1 to 11-4, 12: Neutral endings
There are also a ton of bad endings (Bad Endings A to H) throughout the game. I don’t count these among the 15, as these are pretty brief, and the game doesn’t keep track. But if you want to see every one, maybe I’ll make a list (and an achievement) for getting these one day. :)
Before T’yani Grove
The “point of no return” in Trigaea is before you head to T’yani Grove. This is immediately after you get Main Memory 7 and learn how you lost your memories (as well as who was responsible).
If you don’t even know what T’yani Grove is, then you haven’t reached this point, and you’re reading this guide too soon!
You don’t need to save before you go to T’yani. The game will offer you the ability to go back to this point of no return after you finish the game via the New Game+ feature. I mean, I would personally save, because I’m a compulsive saver, even when it’s not logical.
That said, you can certainly die and hit a “Bad End” when heading to the final area - the Northern Wastes - so I will point out where to save in the guide below.
To head to T’yani grove, you need to head to Shi’ari grove. If you saved the twins from the walker, they will be waiting there for you. If not, the war band (S’ven, Celcha and Y’rela) will be here instead.
How to Get Each Ending in Trigaea
Ending 1: Sealed Senses
- Visit Shi’ari Grove.
- When prompted, agree to go to T’yani grove.
- When you meet the Ru’ul, shoot them either upfront, or hear them out and then refuse to join them. Either will get you where you need to go.
- Act however you want to get out of the situation (Fight, Run, Talk).
- You should return to Main Camp after this point.
- Head to Sector 54.
- For the first response to Gabriel, answer any way you want.
- For the second response to Gabriel, refuse to help them with their plans.
- You’ll be back at Main Camp after this point.
- Head to the Forest Ruins to meet Shay.
- Refuse to help Shay.
- When you return to camp, tell Esra “I just don’t want any part of it.” Then, answer “Yes - I don’t want to get involved.”
Congratulations! You’ve got the easiest ending in Trigaea, and the only one without any fighting.
Ending 2: Learning From The Past
- Visit Shi’ari Grove.
- When prompted, agree to go to T’yani grove.
- When you meet the Ru’ul, don’t shoot them.
- Act as snarky as you want for the next option.
- Answer “Yes, I’ll help you” or “Yes, but only for the x’irii.” The difference will impact if you’re more friendly or bitter when talking to the Ru’ul.
- You should return to the Main Camp after this point.
- (Recommended Save Point)
- Head to the Northern Wilds
- Defeat the Omni Walker
- Defeat Gabriel
- Defeat the human squad
- Defeat Shay
- Choose to shoot the Ru’ul or not - it’s your call! Same for your response if you choose to spare them.
- When Esra asks you what to do now, answer “We should enlighten them on the past.”
Ending 3: Non-Interference Policy
Follow the steps for Ending 2, but when Esra asks what to do now in the final step, answer “We should cover up the past.”
Ending 4: Lives Well Lived

- Defeat Shay

- You should return to Main Camp after this point.

- For the first response to Gabriel, answer any way you want.

- Agree to help Shay
- You’ll be back at the Main Camp (Again!)
- (Recommended Save Point)
- Head to the Northern Wilds
- Defeat the human squad

- When facing Gabriel, answer “Then I need to end you first, Gabriel.”
- Defeat Gabriel’s Core
Ending 8: Recursive Destruction
Follow the steps for Ending 7, but when you’re back at camp with Esra after using the sphere, answer “I've done enough. Whatever happens, happens.”
You can also get to this ending by losing the fight against Gabriel’s Core.
Ending 9: Self-Correction
Follow the steps for Ending 7, but when you’re facing Gabriel in the second last step, answer “If it makes sure that humanity survives, I'll help you.” and then “You're right, I made a mistake using the Terraform device.”
Ending 10: A New Dawn
- Visit Shi’ari Grove.
- When prompted, agree to go to T’yani grove.
- When you meet the Ru’ul, shoot them either upfront, or hear them out and then refuse to join them. Either will get you where you need to go.
- Act however you want to get out of the situation (Fight, Run, Talk).

- Answer however you want to the Ru’ul
- Defeat the Ru’ul
- Spare them (or don’t!)

WELL THAT GOT DEPRESSING
Excelent writing. 12 is my favorite out of them.
Dude I DO NOT remember actually dying in the 11 endings. I'm actually crying right now. Esra breaks my heart every time I revisit Trigaea. "'I never survived the explosion, did I?' 'No, you didn't,' Esra answers in a faint voice." MAKES ME SO SAD OH MY LORDDDDDDDDDDDDD. I CANT. YOU CANT MAKE ME SO ATTACHED AND THEN DO ME LIKE THIS.
Amazing, really good. Thank you. It is rare for me to find good movies and video games that satisfy. This one really made me good. I dont have this enjoyment playing COD or wherever other game. This one was a bless, thank you.
If you would like any help for next projects, i will be here: @yukiehms
im stuck and i cant seem to get past this one part and i dont know whats going on! i got the ending 13? sector 36. and now im stuck, ive tried everything, changing species and going through every place, talked to everyone and bought everything.
Is it possible to bring back ash? also i just finished my first playthrough of the game and i got ending #7 terra zero sum. i had to kill the x'irii after what leon did to ash. btw my character's name was Let's not game it out, i named him after our lord and savior let's game it out since i thought the game would be more of a fun joke and not something serious. i also played in normal difficulty. also when i started a new playthrough i kept all my previous levels and i don't think the game was ready for a level 25 with all upgrades.
I just found this game a couple days ago and have been reading it religiously since. I finally got to the endings today, and played through them all, and I kept it together really, really well until Ending 12. Totally not sitting here crying right now. Wasn't sure what to expect when I got into this after randomly seeing it in the text adventure section, but this has very quickly become my favorite game on the site. Thanks for the experience of this, even if I'm walking away a little heartbroken. I look forward to whatever you do next.
So, I just replayed the game and came across the bit where my character talks about the wedding ring with Ash. This time, I elected to find the original ring, instead of having Esra make a new one. I swear I searched everywhere and found nothing. Where the heck is it?
Oooops.😬 I'm so sorry you spent time looking for that!! I did have a plan to put it in there, but it got descoped for a future version, so it's sort of a dead end.
I'm sure it's somewhere on Trigaea... under a rock or something... and the player keeps walking past it. 😅 Sorry.
Ooof. No ring? Aw maaann. Oh well. At least the game is still really good otherwise.
This is not a question regarding any ending but one to fetch the Confirmed Bibliophile achievement. I have no idea where to find this hidden book. I farmed quite a bit in every zone so I don't feel I missed anything but still no book in my radar...
There is one final book in Shi'ari grove offered by the shop, you have to choose to not leave for T'yani grove yet when you arrive there before the end sequence. Hope this helped!
I don't know, I don't find it. I "Restart(ed) from T'yani".
I already bought every book in H'yatis's Store. I select "The War Band" > "Wait, I need to do something first" but no new book appeared in their store.
This is not a book I would say I found "somewhere in the wasteland".
Interesting, I have this achievement and only ever remember getting books by purchasing them from the various settlements. It's possible I found one by complete chance somewhere and didn't notice having an extra but I wouldn't be able to help you there
