Oh my god. That was incredible. This is the best visual novel I've ever read -- and I don't say that lightly. Everything about it was perfect. I binged it all over a long weekend. The story is incredibly immersive and I felt my heart beating in tandem with that of my character.

The ending (#5 if you're wondering) made me just stare at the credits for 15 minutes. I have no doubt this game will sit at the back of my mind for years to come. My only complaint is the massive amounts of existential dread it gave me.

I cannot recommend it enough. Please play this.

I'm gonna go cry in bed now.

This will be the first and last time I leave a comment. In fact, I created an account just to be able to comment. I know that many people always call other projects masterpieces, but today I had a real glimpse of the true meaning behind that word. I can’t even put into words the feelings that swept over me. The entire narrative, plot, and setting were perfect, making the player feel immersed in the protagonist’s journey, even bringing tears to my eyes from the middle through to the end of the game. And honestly, what an ending! I cried rivers as it drew closer to the finale (my eyes are literally wet as I write this), and my heart ached with every decision that had to be made—I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. The characters were so well-written that it made me want to step inside the story myself. I feel sad that it’s over, and especially because I don’t have anyone to talk to about it, so I’m trying to be content just by leaving a comment! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your effort in creating (and finishing) this true masterpiece. With all my heart, I thank you for the love you put into this project, and I’m sorry if I wrote too much or made mistakes—English is not my first language.

I absolutely love this game, one question, if you didn't get to kill the machine in the forest that unlocks your ability to get machine upgrades, does it reappear again ever? or not?  Because I've been killing in the forest for several days now and talking to Ezra just says to kill in the forest because there's more to do there.   But I haven't seen anything more to do except killing the same creatures and such.

Hi Cary, glad you're enjoying the game! Have you checked out your charted locations? If you find something in the field it tends to add it to charted locations so you can go back directly.

(+3)

PLEASE I NEED MORE UPDATES OF THIS GAME!!! this game is gonna make me tweak out

(+3)

This game inspires me too make my own Sci-fi story gyattt,,, LOVE SHAY

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And also to hear folks like Shay (I mean, I like Shay, but I was never sure if anyone else did.)

(+2)

You should make a choice where you can date shay, I will literally date bro

(+1)

no this game is fire, and they should actually update it some more, the fact that your progress is saved still even if you log off?? most games don't do that, and theres mutiple things you can do?! fire ass game,, i even drew my character and Ersa

I'd love to see the drawing sometime!

sure ! how should I show you?

Shoot it through to adam.ryncraft@gmail.com!

(+2)

omggg this games is my fav...I uh totally did ot stay up 2 nights in a row playing.....great game bro this is fire

(+2)

An absolute BANGER. I've been playing for 3 days or so, trying to get every memory, book, upgrades... And I've enjoyed it so bad it feels wrong. The history is fire, with an interesting concept to develop. There are a lot of secondary or principal characters, but appart from that, every single one of them had some important or interesting moment during the game.
The farming stages felt a bit boring at the late-game, only pressing "Strike" and then "Subdue" to finish the event, but I guess that was the only alternative.
And, the last bad thing. No date with Shay. Angry
Anyway. Top tier game, love it!!

(+1)

Hey, love the game, but I am just curious, how do I get the book in the wastelands? Like I don't recall there being any wastelands to explore so idk where I could get the book.

Hi, glad you're enjoying it! All the books should be buyable at settlements; there's no random ones in the field.

(+2)

you made this in TWINE? holy moly

(+1)

Love the game👍

(+2)

So well made. Still playing to see if I can get every ending! This is like Mass Effect for those of us that suck at FPS's :D

(+2)

This was absolutely incredible

(+1)

very nice game and very good story

(1 edit) (+4)

Captivating story.

I just wish I hadn't read those books at the end :')

(1 edit) (+1)

Great game with an unusual premise. Lots of interesting choices to make. The battle system and gameplay loop are quite fun despite their simplicity.

Also a game having a cute AI companion is always a plus in my book :)

(+2)

incredible and it's free as well thank you for the experience

(+2)

THIS IS SO GOOD AHHHHHHHH very fun lmao and the idea is rly interesting

(+5)

Played this many years ago. Came back played it again and still a masterpiece

(+3)

Ok, I rarely comment, but this game came out of no where for me and blew me away! I mean, the AI banter is adorable, the world-building is elegantly done and I would play again. I've already got all the endings, but I'd play again just to achievement hunt! Stellar job!! Pun fully intended lol

can you help me to get ending 12, im pretty confused on what to do to get it

(+1)

Hi Brenana! There's a guide here that might help: https://ryngm.itch.io/trigaea/devlog/406366/walkthrough-how-to-get-all-15-ending...

(+2)

bro i love this game sm😭😭

(+3)

ASHHHHHH!!! (me the entire week, or probably month.)

(+4)

Great game, amazing writing, i loved the dynamic between esra and the player and i like the mystery of this universe! 5/5

(+4)(-1)

I've never been one for text story games like this, but I found this game very enjoyable. This game should not be free, I feel like a lot of people would be willing to pay for this game.

(+3)

i can't believe this game is free. thank you so much for this beautiful experience 💖

(1 edit)

when i play the browser version everything seems fine, but when i went to actually download the game things like symbols and the background weren't loading in No matter how many times I reload the game

(+2)

oh my god this is such a good game

(+4)

lol

(+1)

Loved this, though I had a question about one of the ending (So Spoilers).

In ending 11-4 we get sent to Ash's Progenitor. That I get, what I don't get is how Esra says that "We have a new planet to explore" (or something close), wasn't Ash on our ship? So how did we get sent to different planets?

*** Spoilers ***

It's more of a turn of phrase, since you partially terraformed part of the planet, and only really explored a fragment of Trigaea/X'ir. Ash's progenitor crashed a fair distance from your progenitor, and the humans, x'irii, and machines are setting in a new post-terraform era, now their priorities have shifted.

Now you've terraformed a good chunk of the world you've explored and disrupted the societies, it's sort of like resetting your explorations back to near zero again.

(+1)

Ohhh, that clears it up a lot. Thanks!  I've been thinking of making something related to this for a while and want to make it the best I can. Thanks for clearing that up again!

(+2)

I love this game, unfortunately there's no auto saving so i lost around a full hour of progress, but that's fine, going back through the story is enjoyable

(+3)

Few games have such a well-written story, I completed endings 11.4 and 12 soon after and will definitely keep it in my soul

(+4)

Wonderful game, and an incredibly memorable experience for free. Really made me think. Just finished with ending 10 and I can't wait to explore the others. My only real gripe is the frequent spelling and grammar errors, and the switching pronouns, which it seems the creator is planning to fix? Doesn't detract from the story though. Thank you for making this :)

I came here looking for silver... AND I FOUND PLATINUM!

The game is very well made, the story is well written and there is an actual gameplay loop rather than just story.

The game is literally free and you can play the whole thing on the browser! Give it a try! At worst all you will lost is some time and at best... you will witness a beautiful story.

I got the 7th ending, the imperium of man WILL NOT bow down to no one!

(3 edits) (+7)

This is honestly a life-changing experience. I just played this 10 hours straight, from 2:30am to 12:30pm. I feel like a new person.

Possible spoilers:

My first main ending was technically ending 1, but I was just messing around to see how badly it would end by not making any decisions. My "real" ending was 11-3. The conversation with Esra was so well written, perfect- the reveal absolutely broke me. I mostly consider ending 12 to be the true ending despite how unrealistic it was (because it's the happiest ending we have... and because Esra and I can both live together lmao) but ending 11-3/2 will forever have my heart.

I can't believe this is free, but I also can't believe this even exists. Paid or free, I've never seen such a beautiful game. There's so much more I want to say, so much to gush over, but frankly, my brain is fried from lack of sleep and the marvel Trigaea is. There's so much detail and love put into this. Every character felt so real. The last 10 hours of my life were spent in a different world. Thank you so much for this experience, I'll be thinking about this story for a long, long time.

(+5)

This game made me abandon the usual completionist mindset because I like one of the endings too much. I don't want to see the alternatives. (yes I'm talking about the last one, BIG SAD but so beautiful ;-;)

(+2)

What can I even say? I never imagined something like this could be played for free.

I almost cried with the ending. And I still can't decide which of the two endings I got I want to be canon.

(+2)

Also, I just need to get this out of my system. Please report it if you consider it spoiler.

That part where the main character is happy, and then you try to read the books. My heart was beating like crazy. It felt so disturbing. Awesome writing, sound effects and art to make the sensations even stronger. It even left me a bit paranoic, haha.

(+2)

I absolutely love this game! I was just wondering, is there a possibility of romancing any of the npcs?

(+4)(-1)

almost two weeks ago, my wife came home from work to find me crying in front of the pc because of this game. obviously she had to check it out for herself. then i posted the link in a discord server i hang out in and dragged a handful of people down the rabbit hole with me

i have all the trophies now but i'll probably still be thinking about trigaea for a long, long time.

this was an incredible experience—slightly marred by characters occasionally switching pronouns (and names, on a couple occasions), but according to another comment there will be a future update intended to address that? which is great to hear

thank you for this.

(+3)

Definitely one of the best sci-fi IF I've ever played.

btw for those who want to play this on android I would suggest using joi play. I played through the whole game with it, and the only issue I've run into is the "current form:" on the top right being cropped out, but you can always check the progenitor for that info. Or switch the screen to horizontal mode.
